Watsons Bay is located about 11km east of the CBD on the southern head entrance to Sydney Harbour and offers a unique blend of secluded beaches, scenic coastal walks, waterfront restaurants and a village atmosphere that has kept its charm throughout the years. It was a quiet fishing village until the 1950s, when the transformation started into the prestigious suburb it is today.

Watsons Bay is a popular tourist spot on weekends with visitors enjoying the coastal walk to South Head, snorkelling or sunbaking at Camp Cove Beach, admiring the Macquarie Light House or enjoying the astonishing harbour views and seafood at the iconic Doyle’s Restaurant on the beach.

Watsons Bay is a mostly residential area and there are still many small, lovingly restored fishermen’s cottages remaining along with brick homes and modern luxury houses. The naval training base HMAS Watson is located nearby at South Head.
