As an investor, what type of renovations can I claim tax depreciation?

If the property’s been extensively renovated, and I guess, that’s something that we need to decide what the level of renovations are, so again, the quantity surveyor will look into that and decide if it’s extensively renovated or not. Typically, consider the house to be unlivable when those works are taking place, so can’t just be a kitchen and bathroom and sanding the floors. We’re talking about walls being removed, the total layout of the house being redesigned. Basically, it would have been uninhabitable when you did works for it to be considered to be substantial.
