Do I need to speak to a bank before I make an offer on a property?
As a buyer, I really encourage you to talk to your bank or mortgage broker or the DiJones preferred partner Finance Compass before you make offers on a property. It’s important to understand where you are at in the process.
Do you have pre-approval? Do you have formal approval? At the very least, you should have pre-approval before you’re making offers to understand what your limits are, and whether it’s just subject to evaluation, or subject to providing further documentation. Then make your offer once you have your final approval.
