Activities for kids this school holidays - Volume 1.

With the excitement of Christmas now waning, and still a good few weeks until the kids back to school, the question on all parents minds is how to keep the kids occupied this holidays!

Over the next few weeks we are going to curate a list of selected activities to help you keep them entertained through the break.

1. Little Darling Night Owls Kids Film Festival, Darling Harbour.
Returning again for its 7th year is the Kids Film Festival!
17 nights of free movies at the outdoor cinema!
Watch movies from 90’s classic such as Home Alone, and modern-day favourite including Moana, Despicable Me 3, The Lego Batman Movie and Beauty and the Beast.
When: Friday 5th January – 21st January, starting at 6.45pm every evening.

2. Featherdale Wildlife Park, Family Encounter Package.
Featherdale Wildlife Park is offering a deal for a Family Encounter pack, get up close with your choice of wildlife, with either the mammals or reptiles package!
Cost is from $199 which is for 2 adults and kids, but there are other family combinations available!

3. Pony Rides, Centennial Parklands.
Hand-led pony rides are available in Centennial Parklands for the kids, the best way to introduce kids to the thrill of horse riding.
Horses and ponies are carefully matched to the ability and confidence of the rider and trained horse handlers guide and lead the children in their interactions so that they are relaxed and enjoy the experience.

Sydney Trapeze School. St Peters.
For the thrill seeker kids (and parents!).
With over 13 years experience in the industry, this school was set up by the Taylor twin brothers. Both have experience and knowledge in performing and teaching flying trapeze around the world.
The school was set up with the goal to teach in a safe and motivating environment.
Open: 10am – 7pm, class schedule on website.

5. Heritage Raider Experience, Brandman Centre, Bowral.
For the cricket fans in the Southern Highlands!
The Bradman Centre opens its archives in an up close and personal interactive experience. You will see precious artefacts and images, and see first hand the behind the scenes process of capturing the games heritage.
There are some exciting events being held for the kids these holidays!
