New Year's Eve 2017 - Family Friendly

Eastern Suburbs

Duff Reserve, Point Piper – Free entry from 12 noon. Views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and parts of the city. Family friendly, Alcohol prohibited.

McKell Park, Darling Point - Free entry from 12 noon. Views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and parts of the city. Family friendly, Alcohol prohibited.

Coogee Beach – Coogee Sparkles NYE fireworks are put on every year by the Randwick City Council at the family friendly time of 9pm. The fireworks are set off from Dunningham Reserve. The event is popular so arrive early to secure a spot!

 

North Shore

Althol Lawn, Bradleys Head – an idea family viewing area for the fireworks with views of the harbour skyline. BYO picnic and run. There will be food and non-alcoholic beverages for sale. Alcohol and glass is strictly prohibited at Athol Lawn for the night and bags will be searched upon entry. Northern Suburbs

Parramatta Park – hosting one of Sydney’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration. Bring your picnic rug and settle in for an evening of family friendly entertainment. With two stages of performers, food stalls, amusement rides, DJ’s, roving entertainers and 3 separate firework firing locations all for free!

Inner West

Birchgrove Park, Birchgrove – With a clear view to the Harbour Bridge, BYO and free, plan ahead if you want to get a spot here as it tends to reach full capacity before nightfall!

Illoura Reserve, Balmain East - A popular site with good views of the western side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Arrive early as it fills quickly! Alcohol prohibited.
