Educating the next generation in real estate

Last week, Kylie Walsh, General Manager at Di Jones Real Estate and licenced real estate agent Roger Wardy were guest speakers at the Property & Real Estate Careers Information Night at Ultimo TAFE.

Roger was invited back for a second time to participate in a student information night which was a great success. Both Kylie and Roger spoke to over 100 students about the real estate industry and thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the highly motivated students.

This initiative by Wardy is something he is committed to continuing to assist young students considering a career as a real estate agent. Wardy said “the reason I did it was to give students an insight from my perspective from when I first started through to where I am now. I remember before I got in the industry, I didn't know what to do or how to do it. I had to learn everything along the way. It’s great to be able to give the students a sense of direction on how to get in the industry after they finish their course and what to expect.”

At Di Jones Real Estate we encourage our staff to be actively involved in giving back to the community.  The staff are always looking for opportunities like this one to collaborate with the communities in which we operate.
